Jimmy’s Pizza comes full circle, makes return to Pine City

Jimmy's Logo

Back in 1986, Jim Gordon opened the very first Jimmy’s Pizza in Pine City; it was located on the 200-block of Main Street S. (then 6th Street).   Now, Jimmy’s Pizza is back in town, just a block over from where it was then, downtown Pine City.

Andrew Keene has moved his nearby Grasston location seven miles east to the larger Pine City market.

“I was looking to offer more, added menu items, sit-down areas and grow the business,” said Keene.  “Besides, I live here in Pine City.”

Keene says he is excited to offer pizza lovers a taste of something familiar from a generation ago.

“We know this was a special place in Pine City’s past.  We hope it can stoke nostalgia and offer a great dining option in Pine City once again.”

“There’s something about the sauce that makes Jimmy’s Pizza a stand alone,” Keene said. “Everything is fresh.  That’s what people seem to appreciate, the freshness and price.”

Keene said they offer several options for pizza – carryout, dine-in and delivery are now being offered from the Pine City location.  They’ll deliver in-town and out to an eight-mile range of town.

The Jimmy’s Pizza success story is remarkable, and can be viewed here.  With dozens of locations across five states, it’s good to have a Jimmy’s back where it all started.  Pine City’s Jimmy’s Pizza is located at 135 5th Street SE.  To order, call (320) 629-4959.
