The Third Annual Mini-Triathlon will begin at 9am. Mini-Triathlon includes a 300 yd swim, 12 mile bike ride, and 2 mile walk/run. Participants can enter and do all three events or form a team and share the fun and each do one leg of the race. Each participant must provide their own bike and a helmet. Advance Registration is required. The registration fee is just $15 if you register by June 10th. After that date the fee will go up to $20. Your fee includes a t-shirt for the event.
Getting “Active” will continue in the first Kayak/Canoe race for the Freedom Fest event lineup. Solo Kayak/Canoe, and Tandem Kayak/Canoe entries are welcome to enter this 4 mile recreational race. Entrants must follow all MN DNR regulations and each craft will be inspected prior to start of race.
The race will begin at 3PM, but advance registration is required. The registration fee is just $15 if you register by June 10th. After that date the fee will go up to $20. Community members that are intersted in the opportunity to be part of the canoe race, but do not have their own canoe, now have the opportunity to rent one from a local company. The Pine County 4-H Council will be offering it’s annual Pancake Breakfast on Saturday, June 26th beginning at 7:30 AM.
